Our Multi-Stage Quality Process
We typically maintain four different punch lists throughout the construction process because you simply can’t catch everything the first time. After fixing one issue, another may need attention. This ongoing approach means we address issues as they arise rather than scrambling in the final two days before turning over your keys.
When we work with customers during walkthroughs, we’re upfront about our humanity: we’re not perfect. If you see something that needs attention, we encourage you to bring it to our attention. We’ll let you know whether it’s already been addressed, if we’re working on it, or what the status is. Sometimes we’ve walked into a room twenty times without noticing something that a fresh pair of eyes immediately spots. Once it’s pointed out, we can see it and address it.

We build everything using the National Green Building Standard (NGBS). This third-party certification process creates homes that are more energy-efficient, healthier, and more comfortable for your family. It’s about building homes that perform better for decades to come.
Honesty as Our Foundation
Honesty was instilled in me from a young age by my grandfather and parents. The simple principle of doing what you say you’ll do goes a long way in how people perceive you. If you’re always promising something and never following through, that’s what people remember. I want to be known as someone who, when I promise something, makes it happen.
What we hear consistently is that our approach differs from many other contractors in the area. We’ll tell you upfront what we can and can’t do.
Our process takes longer upfront than most builders because we’re being comprehensive. We want to ensure we’re including everything you want in your home’s price. Rather than spending five minutes or half an hour giving you a price for a home we’ve never built before, we take a couple of months to make sure you’ll see the cabinets you want, the flooring you’ve chosen, and that you’re comfortable with every detail, from the trim we’re using to the windows and siding.
Standing Behind Our Work
Our commitment to honesty extends well beyond the construction phase. While builder warranties are legally mandated in most states (typically covering everything for one year, utilities and major systems for two years, and structural elements for ten years), everyone doesn’t actually honor these commitments.
At our one-year walkthrough, we track all potential issues using a third-party system that’s transparent and visible to everyone. We come out, take an honest look at what needs to be addressed, and determine the cause of any problems. Then we address them in whatever way makes the most sense.

In return, because we know what to expect from our trusted partners, we can tailor our oversight appropriately. Some craftspeople need us there at the beginning of a three-day process and then just a daily check-in to see if they need anything. Others benefit from more frequent communication and support. People are different, and we respect that. We try to work with everyone’s strengths because when we do, we’re all happier working together.
